Methods of Compensation
Our initial consultation and information gathering appointments are generally performed on a complimentary basis as a routine component of our holistic approach to better understand your overall financial picture and more effectively identify and address the financial needs and concerns you may have. In no event will billable services be performed without your prior understanding and consent. Compensation generally consists of fees and commissions derived from various investment and insurance products utilized in the implementation of a customized financial plan. Should the scope of a financial planning engagement extend beyond what would otherwise be considered reasonable and customary, a predetermined hourly or fixed fee may also be arranged and mutually agreed upon.
The use of private money managers generally involves a negotiated “wrap” fee, expressed as a percentage of assets under management. In certain instances we will also agree to individually manage an investment portfolio for a negotiated fee commensurate to the time and effort involved.
